It focuses on the impact of the saw blades teeth number,and on the blade noise emissions during cross-cutting. Article is based on an experiment in which was used three saw blades Extol PREMIUM with SK plates with uniform diameter (D = 250 mm), uniform angular geometry (α = 15°, β = 60°, γ = 15°), but a different number of teeth (z = 24, 40 a 60). For the experiment were used tangentially sawn beech samples with absolute humidity wa = 12 ± 1%, and 25 mm of thickness. Cutting the beech test samples was conducted to crosscut miter saw BOSCH GCM 10 S PROFESIONAL with the movement of the saw blade on a circular arc at a constant cutting speed (vc= 62 m×s−1) and at a sliding force (Fp = 75 N). The experiment showed that the saw blades noise, depending on teeth number and the wear degree of cutting edge was in range from 96.8 dB to 97,9 dB. Based on the results obtained article notes, that all three considered saw blades exceed the upper exposure action value 85 dB, which means that the worker must use hearing protection (muffs).
