Small enterprises are characteristic of the absence of implementing the controlling system and utilizing modern tools of management for different reasons. Controlling is implemented at a much larger scale in medium and large enterprises. Psychological aspects of controlling enable understanding of the relation, feelings, or an opinion about controlling, while thus creating foundations and a base for establishing the real form of this tool.The main objective of the paper is to identify the key psychological aspects and emotions evoked by implementing and establishing a controlling system in wood-prcessing entreprisesin Slovakia. The empirical research into the given issue was conducted by the questionnaires. In order to evaluate the research results, the descriptive, graphical, and mathematic-statistical methods were used. Based on the research results, the key psychological aspects, i.e. changes in the organizational structure, employee workload and emotions, i.e. motivation, uncertainty were identified, which have a significant on establishing and accepting controlling in wood-processing entreprises in Slovakia, with regard to their size.
