[et al.] 215 $c Graf. 330 $a The presented article deals with the thermally modified spruce wood fire risk assessment. The assessment was based on comparison of heat release rate and carbon monoxide yield from thermally modified and thermally unmodified samples. The heat release rate and carbon monoxide yield were determined by the means of cone calorimeter at two different heat flux densities (15 and 20 kW·m−2). There were used three kinds of samples: thermally unmodified sample and thermally modified sample according to ThermoWood – Thermo-S programme (maximum temperature during the thermal modification was 190 °C) and according to ThermoWood – Thermo-D programme (maximum temperature during the thermal modification was 212 °C). Obtained results indicated, that thermally modified spruce wood showed lower maximum heat release rate and also lower average heat release rate, although mentioned parameters were dependent on external heat flux from cone heater. In addition, thermally modified samples showed higher total carbon monoxide yield (in full time investigated period from 0 to 1800 s) but the effect of thermal modification was not clear (depended on external heat flux density and maximum temperature during thermal modification) in the first time period (from 0 to 600 s) of investigation. 330 $a Cieľom príspevku je posúdiť vplyv termickej modifikácie dreva smreka obyčajného (Picea abies L.) na rýchlosť uvoľňovania tepla a výťažok oxidu uhoľnatého pri hustotách tepelných tokov typických pre iniciáciu požiaru a jeho prechod z (takmer) lineárneho rozvoja doplne rozvinutého požiaru (15 a 20 kW·m−2). 463 -1
