The effect of the repeated drying during recycling was proved by increase of the pulp sheets air permeability by about 56 % (from 2093 to 1498 ml×min−1). The effect of recycling and simulated ageing caused the increase in permeability by about 59 % (from 2093 to 5145 ml×min−1). The whole range of recycling and follow-up ageing resulted in decrease of the swelling ability. The pulp fibers reached their maximum swelling after the 300-secondlong contact with water at 0th recycling (44.4 %). Swelling decreased to 33.7 % during 8 recycling cycles.
