    AnnotationThe study of Eurasian otter distribution in the Krupinská planina (plateau) Mts. and Ipeľská kotlina was carried out in autumn 2007 by modified IUCN Otter Specialist Goup method. The survey was based on monitoring of otter signs in four quadrants of 11 quadrats (11,2 × 12 km). During the survey 37 sites were controlled, 25 were positive. During winter and spring 2008 6 quadrants in Hungarian part were controlled, 4 were positive
