    AnnotationSprainting behaviour of Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra L.) and its seasonality was studied at 99 sites (300 m long sections) along the upper Hron river (from the river spring downstream to Hliník nad Hronom village, 52 sites), with its tributaries Rohozná (8 sites), Bystrianka (7), Čierny Hron (5), Lukavica (3), Slatina (6), Kováčovský potok brook (3), Jasenica (12) and Kremnický potok brook (3) during 2007 – 2010. The seasonal distribution of spraint numbers shows two culminations with maxima in spring (April) and autumn (October, November)
