    AnnotationThe article provides readers with information about CLIL approach which is considered to be an appropriate response to certain educational issues, not only those related to the foreign language education. The flow of the article moves from general information and status of CLIL to the individual character of cognition and learning. irstly, the paper deals with the experience of Slovakia with the CLIL phenomenon with the main focus of attention placed on the secondary education. Author’s own observations as well observations of students participating in this type of tuition are present as well. They are followed by an analysis of two main aspects of CLIL, namely constructivism and just-in-time attributes, restricted to the given context. The problems related to intrinsic motivation of students towards learning are also addressed in the article
