    AnnotationThe paper deals with the functioning of onymic registers within the communication register (of an individual or a social group). It also deals with the functioning of the registers when in contact with more societies which differ both in language and culture. With respect to onymic registers we understand social contact of various societies as a tension between individual collective onymic registers. Speakers representing these ethnicities as well as translators translating from one language into another one have to take this fact into account
