    AnnotationThe book review is focused on Jan Lazarʼs monograph Problèmes choisis de la morphosyntaxe française (Chosen problems of French morphosyntax). The book is designated for students, teachers, academic staff and all the others who want to master French Grammar on advanced level. Its aim is to offer short however contentful script. The review tries to pose fundamental questions of the subject and to shortly present the research and its methods elaborated by the author. Besides various exceptions causing problems for Czech and Slovak students, which need to be memorized and practiced, there are also many differences between their mother language and French grammar system
