    AnnotationThe process of globalisation and the related global interrelation have found their expression in many spheres, including education, science and research. The current ambition of the EU itself as a whole, but especially of its Member States, is to achieve the same level in the quality of academic education and, consequently, to provide it outside the European area to third parties.For this reason, we have decided to examine, whether and to what extent a liberal university, in its Sapere aude ambitions, can contribute to increasing the political and economic openness of the European Union, while at the same time providing a progressive qualification basis for the development of globalised science for the period of the 21st century.
