The authors have quantified the structure of agricultural land (forms of its use) which (in contrary to agricultural soil fund) covers until 70 per cent of the territory in Slovakia. They are calling attention towards changes of land use in the Slovak agricultural land during 1945 to 2006 but above all after year of 1989, when spontaneous overgrowing meadows and pastures by non-forest tree- and bush vegetation goes on (especially in submontane areas). The overgrowing here is a result of an animal production stagnation. In the paper also discrepancies in an evidence of soil fund structure are mentioned.
