    AnnotationThe paper is focused on reception, perception, interpretation and evalvation of text in school literary communication. These phases of an aesthetical and educational process are important in the literacy competency acquirement. Appropiate fictional text, e. g. fairy tale, and adequete methodology, e. g. creative drama methods, are the key factors influencing gaining literary competency in primary and secondary education. The fairy tale can be attractive with its fantastic space, figures, moral solution of life, often bizarre (unusual) situations and it provides a space for critical thinking and evaluation. Creative drama offers role play and its techniques allow a pupil to take a mask of somebody else and act as him or her. The fairy tale by Mária Ďuríčková Women race offers content as well as space for both important categories
