AnnotationIt can be noticed that during the last years, the German and Slovakian economic language, developed considerably, especially in the lexical domain. The composition, as the most frequent way of enriching the vocabulary of the German language has a more and more important role in the Slovakian language, especially in the economic one. In the economic press more and more terms appear, built after the new ways of composition, which are imposed more or less in both languages. In our paper we will give a greater importance to the new tendencies of composing new terms in both languages and we will search for the differences and similarities between the formation of the new lexicon from the economic domain in the German and Slovakian language, regarding both the form and the semantic criteria
