The standard financial ratio analysis is not sufficient in this case. The shortcomings of the financial ratio analysis have led to the development of prediction methods, which are also referred to as "early warning systems". The meaning of the prediction methods in financial management is, inter alia, to correctly estimate the future potential of the business in order to set its real financial objectives. The aim of the paper is to verify the prediction ability of the selected ten prediction methods on the selected sample containing 20 Slovak agricultural enterprises.
