Descr. články - journal articles Language Russian Country Slovak Republic Annotation The article examines specifics and essence of the concept of Boyan (Narrator) connected with its textual representation in the fundamental written work of Ancient Russian literature The Tale of Igor’s Campaign. Research is carried out on the basis of Russian, Belarusian, Polish, Slovak and other Slavic languages. Lexeme conceptualization is determined by its interpretation as an embodiment of Slavic spirit and artistic skills, which is connected with the period of Slavic revival when Russian language and Russian culture played a particularly important role. In each of Slavic languages, semantic contents of the concept is characterized by their own specifics formed under the influence of the peculiarities of development of separate Slavic languages and literatures created in them.
