Legislatívne aspekty implementácie mäkkého práva UNESCO na Slovensku / Peter Mihók, Martin Orviský. 3. -- This chapter examines the legislative aspects of implementing UNESCO‘s MAB Programme in Slovakia through the lens of three theoretical concepts: soft law, participatory governance, and sustainable development. The research reveals that BRs lack proper legislative anchoring in Slovak law, being mentioned only once in the Nature and Landscape Protection Act without any definition. The analysis demonstrates that BR governance relies solely on UNESCO‘s soft law instruments, making implementation challenging within Slovakia‘s legal framework. This chapter also identifies discrepancies between UNESCO‘s theoretical requirements for participatory governance and Slovak legislation that would permit practical implementation of UNESCO‘s requirements, particularly in instances where BRs overlap with NPs.
