They allow people to invest low amount of money through mutual funds and create their own portfolio. Collective investment has currently almost 8 billion € asset under the management. During the last sixteen years investors decreased amount of money invested into equity mutual funds in Slovakia due to financial crisis. Almost half amount of money are invested into mixed or bond mutual funds.
