Slovenská Ľupča (Slovensko) Language Slovak Country Slovak Republic systematics 556.5 Annotation In the paper, the anthropohenic changes of water streams in the Slovenská Ľupča surroundings are being analysed. Historical texts and maps provided the starting point for the analysis. The stress has been laid on long-term and detailed field research. Till the 20th century, mostly the Hron river tributaries were affected by anthropogenic changes. These related mainly to the development of technical facilities on the Lupčica and Driekiňa rivers. Several fishponds appeared in the Slovenská Ľupča surroundings, the location of which has been continuously changing. In the 20th century, the extensive water-management modifications of the Hron and Ľupčica rivers were carried out. At present, the Hron River and lower parts of its tributaries are intensively anthropogenicaly transformed. Public work category BDF No. of Archival Copy 7254 Catal.org.
