The email in question was received by the author of the paper and has undergone a detailed linguistic analysis. The author’s aim was to point out the mistakes which are generally made by university students studying English and, therefore, the author regards it as a rather practical paper. The author has formulated a questionnaire to allow his colleagues from his department took an active part in his research. The author states that most receivers of such an email (as far as the questionnaire conclusion shows) would find it not only erratic but inappropriate bearing in mind the fact that the student (sender) did not use a proper register while communicating with his teacher.
