Č. 27 (2016), s. 141-154. - Banská Bystrica : Štátna ochrana prírody SR, 2016 Keywords červené zoznamy - red lists regióny - regions IUCN Red list IUCN categories Language Slovak Country Slovak Republic Annotation Out of the 299 recorded wild vertebrate species of the Poľana Biosphere Reserve (established in 1990) there were 202 (67,6 %) species evaluated in accordance with the IUCN Red List categories and criteria (Version 3.1, IUCN 2001). The main period of evaluation was between 1990 – 2012. One lamprey species was recorded in Poľana and it was not classified. Within 25 fish species, only two species (8 %) were evaluated and both listed in the category LC. Altogether, 11 amphibian species were found, and 10 (90,1 %) evaluated, four species (Lissotriton vulgaris, L. montandoni, Ichtiosaura alpestris, Hyla arborea) listed as VU and five (Salamandra salamandra, Bombina variegata, Bufo bufo, Pseudepidalea viridis, Rana dalmatina) as NT. Nine reptilian taxa were classified, two (Lacerta viridis, Zamenis longissimus) as EN, two (Coronella austriaca, Vipera berus) as VU and two (Podarcis muralis, Anguis fragilis) as NT. Total 186 bird species were recorded there, out of them 134 breeding species (72 %) were evaluated, four (Tetrao urogallus, Perdix perdix, Phoenicurus phoenicurus, Lanius minor) were classified as EN and three (Vanellus vanellus, Athene noctua, Hirundo rustica) as VU. Altogether 67 mammal species were recorded and 47 (70,2 %) of them evaluated. Two species (Felis silvestris, Lynx lynx) were included in category EN, four species (Sicista betulina, Myotis bechsteinii, Canis lupus, Lutra lutra) in category NT. Four species (Eliomys quercinus, Mustela lutreola, Bison bonasus, Alces alces) are RE and seven (Arvicola scherman, Myotis alcathoe, M. blythii, M. nattereri, Eptesicus nilssonii, Nyctalus lasiopterus, Vespertilio murinus, Mustela putorius) classified as DD Public work category ADF No. of Archival Copy 36189 Repercussion category MAČUGOVÁ, Júlia - BALÁŽOVÁ, Mária - BALÁŽ, Michal.
