| Annotation | The aim of the article is to determine whether there exists statistically signifi cant difference in the preferences of motivation factors from the point of view of university teachers in Slovakia. Primary data was obtained using the sociological survey method. The research was conducted between 2014 and 2017. Total of 453 respondents were surveyed. Overall, 30 motivational factors were investigated. Using the Student‘s t-test, at the level of signifi cance = 5%, the statistical signifi cance of the mean values of the motivation factors was verifi ed. Statistically signifi cant difference was confi rmed in the development of the preferences of university teachers in Slovakia. Following the outcomes of our research, we can state that the motivation program should be updated continuously depending on gender, development and changes in employee motivation |
