AnnotationInternational Human Resources Management (IHRM) is very important part of MNC management. The IHRM processes are more complex than managing human resources in the local environment. MNCs manage and deal with their employees in different international contexts, in different institutional, legal and cultural circumstances. They develop effective management practices from a strategic and a cost-efficient point of view. IHRM activities cover the management of employees in different locations. In this context, the question arises as to what extent can the MNC standardize IHRM procedures and processes to all countries in which the company operates? Finding answers to the advantages and disadvantages of standardization associated with the degree of convergence and divergence in IHRM, led us to solve the research project VEGA 1/0116/18 "Convergence and divergence in international human resources management", funded by the Scientific Grant Agency of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The project involved 7 researchers from the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations and the Faculty of Law of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. The scientific goal of the project is to examine the views of managers of selected companies in Slovakia on the advantages and disadvantages of working in a multinational company and to design a flexible system of international human resources management, taking into account the degree of convergence and divergence. The presented monograph is one of the outputs of the project. The aim of the scientific monograph is in line with the aim of the research project and focuses on the presentation of the opinions of managers of selected companies in Slovakia at IHRM, the design of a flexible management system for multicultural teams taking into account examples of good practices. MNCs have mostly been successfully established in Slovakia and represent a benefit in terms of labor productivity, modernization, application of new cutting-edge technologies, organizational culture and management system in conditions of interculturality, growing production and economic growth of the country. This statement was confirmed by 271 MNCs, which participated in the sociological survey in the form of a questionnaire. In order to obtain more detailed information on the positives and negatives of human resource management processes and to identify examples of good practices, we personally conducted structured interviews with human resource managers in 53 MNCs. The content of the surveys was to determine the importance of HRM processes. The subject of the research was also the opinions of managers on HRM processes in terms of their importance and the need to solve potential problems. The research of IHRM, intercultural communication, cultural differences is not given much attention in the conditions of Slovakia. The benefit of the project solution is, based on the research carried out, the design of the IHRM system and the development of new trends and examples of good practices in MNCs operating in Slovakia. We are aware that the achieved outputs of the solution are open and create space for scientific discussion. We appreciate the interest of the professional public, which is or wants to devote to the HRM process in MNCs, in the presentation of their ideas and comments on the improvement of the human resources management system in the international context.

AnnotationIn this work we deal with a particular type of hesitant fuzzy set, in the case where membership values can appear multiple times and are ordered. They are called ordered ordinary fuzzy multisets. Some operations between them are introduced by means of an extension principle. In particular, the divergence measures between two of these multisets are defined and we have studied in detail the local family of divergences. Finally, these measures are related to the ones given for ordinary fuzzy sets

AnnotationThe approaches of multinational companies to the international human resources management are influenced by the degree of convergence and divergence in attitudes and management of the company. Examining the specificities of international human resources management and differences in the approaches of the multinational company's headquarters to subsidiaries in Slovakia is the goal of the paper. A prerequisite for achieving the stated goal is to conduct a survey with the managers of multinational companies, using a structured questionnaire. The opinions of managers on the advantages and disadvantages of working in the international environment are evaluated taking into account the current theoretical knowledge, the degree of centralization and decentralization of management and the specifics of national culture. The result of our examination is the finding that the human resources units created at the headquarters of a multinational corporation are responsible for staffing all processes in the parent company. At the parent company's level, centralizing activities related to planning top management needs, talent development, international project team management, expatriate remuneration, and top executives of subsidiaries are usually centralized. The centers define the procedures, steps for implementing individual IHRM processes based on the consensus (Best Practice, Best Fit) typical for a geocentric approach, or authoritative in view of the prevailing ethnocentric approach to entering foreign markets. A characteristic feature of the Slovaks' behavior is adaptability. The convergence rate in Slovakia is higher than the divergence rate. Performing basic processes related to search and recruitment, training, evaluation, motivation, employment, personnel administration, and release are mostly decentralized to subsidiaries.

AnnotationThe purpose of the paper is to introduce, using the known results concerning the entropy in product MV algebras, the concepts of mutual information and Kullback-Leibler divergence for the case of product MV algebras and examine algebraic properties of the proposed measures. In particular, a convexity of Kullback-Leibler divergence with respect to states in product MV algebras is proved, and chain rules for mutual information and Kullback-Leibler divergence are established. In addition, the data processing inequality for conditionally independent partitions in product MV algebras is proved.

AnnotationThe comparison of sets is an important topic with application in several fields. Divergence measures were introduced as an adequate measure of comparison of two fuzzy sets and an alternative of the dissimilarities. The particular study for local divergences is here generalized to any t-conorm instead just the sum. The concept of divergence is revisited and studied in detail. This study is complemented with the whole characterization of a new family of divergence measures, the generalized local divergence measures. Some applications of these divergences in pattern recognition and decision making illustrate their utility.

AnnotationMeasures of difference are studied for hesitant fuzzy sets, i.e. mappings where the values are multisets in the unit interval. Locality (the change of the value of the difference is dependent only on changes in singletons) of such mappings is discussed and the class of all local divergences is characterized. Entropies for hesitant fuzzy sets are also studied, namely fuzziness entropy measure and hesitance entropy measure
