We then focus on the shape of the correlation function and discuss the possible reasons for its departure from the Gaussian form and better reproduction with a Levy stable distribution. With the help of Monte Carlo simulations based on asymmetric extension of the Blast-Wave model with resonances we demonstrate possible influence of averaging over many events and integrating over wide momentum bins on the shape of the correlation function. We also show that the shape is strongly influenced by the use of the one-dimensional parametrisation in the q(inv) variable. The evolution of multiplicity distribution of a species which undergoes chemical reactions can be described with the help of a master equation. We study the master equation for a fixed temperature, because we want to know how fast different moments of the multiplicity distribution approach their equilibrium value. We particularly look at the 3rd and 4th factorial moments and their equilibrium values from which central moments, cumulants and their ratios can be calculated. Then we study the situation in which the temperature of the system decreases. We find out that in the non-equilibrium state, higher factorial moments differ more from their equilibrium values than the lower moments and that the behaviour of the combination of the central moments depends on the combination we choose. If one chooses to determine the chemical freeze-out temperature from the measured values of higher moments, these effects might j URL Link na zdrojový dokument Public work category AFC No. of Archival Copy 47132 Catal.org. Thus the eventual phase transition is very likely to proceed in non-equilibrium way. This is rather well known in case of first-order phase transitions: if a system expands with a rate higher than the scattering rate of its constituents then it is likely to reach the point of spinodal and suddenly disintegrate into droplets. (Such effect is clearly present in multifragmentation in nuclear collisions at few hundred MeV per nucleon.) The transition from hadronic to partonic matter is of first order at some non-vanishing value of baryochemical potential, while it is a crossover at vanishing mu_B and most likely in the domain of RHIC and LHC. Nevertheless, in the latter case fragmentation of the fireball at hadronisation is also possible due to sudden increase of bulk viscosity at Tc. We propose a method to search for droplets (or other interesting effects) via inspecting rapidity spectra. Public work category ADC No. of Archival Copy 19842 Repercussion category HALDAR, P.
