The discussion outlines and examines the methodologies and approaches of different theorist of language as expressed in their works, with the aim of clarifying various aspects of the Italian grammatical tradition and highlighting new scholarly paths. Reflecting on grammar and grammar production is far from being a sterile and dry elaboration of research and teaching methods and perspectives.
