Descr. príspevky v zborníku - proceedings papers Language English Country Spain Annotation The paper presents the development of the pedagogical diagnostic instrument Profiler of Artistic Potential intended for teachers and parents of preschool children. The goal of the instrument will be to provide experts and the public with a reliable means of identifying a child's artistic potential. At the current stage of development, content sensitivity testing of 54 statements is underway. Statement´s formulations were based on structured interviews with teachers in kindergartens. Sensitivity refers to whether a statement investigates what it is intended to do. Pilot testing of the tool was carried out on a sample of more than 200 respondents who are students of the preschool and elementary pedagogy program. This paper presents partial evaluations of various manifestations of preschool children with a borderline zone of school entry (from 3-7 years) are used. The results of the qualitative-quantitative study by which we verify the diagnostic instrument will be described in the text of the paper. The main goal of the paper is to show how this interactive instrument can help student to focus on different manifestations of giftedness. Descr. príspevky v zborníku - proceedings papers Language English Country Spain Annotation The aim of this study is to highlight the possibilities of developing the work competences of psychology students acquired through alternative forms of work experience and to compare them with the competences acquired during the students' traditional full-time work experience. The research sample consisted of 39 psychology students (AMage= 25.3; SDage= 2.5; 8% men) who completed their psychology practicum during their undergraduate studies in the academic years 2021/22 and 2022/23. Of the 39 respondents to our research, 31 students completed a traditional practicum, 9 students completed an online counselling placement (SenSkype project), and 5 students completed a servicelearning practicum (some of whom completed all three forms of practicum during their undergraduate studies). Competency development was assessed by respondents using the Communication and interaction effect style questionnaire by Mlcak [1] and key competencies via the online tool V- skills for employability [2]. Statistical analysis of the perceived level of competencies acquired through classical full-time practice and alternative forms of practice by psychology students showed no statistically significant differences in the perceived level of competencies between students who had completed classical full-time practice and students who had completed alternative forms of practice. Thus, we can conclude that the two alternative forms of practice presented by us are equivalent alternatives to the previously established full-time psychology students' practice and develop students' competences and the classical practice. In conclusion, we can thus state that we recommend the alternative forms of practice presented by us to be used as proper alternatives together with the classical full-time practice of psychology students. Descr. príspevky v zborníku - proceedings papers Language English Country Spain Annotation Helping professions such as school psychology are characterized by high-stress levels with a risk of professional burnout. The work demands on school psychologists in today's schools can be particularly stressful, and resilience is increasingly needed to maintain adequate and sustainable staffing levels. School psychologists' resilience also contributes to an overall school resilience culture linked to positive educational outcomes. The research aimed to map different aspects of resilience in Slovak school psychologists, focusing on those that are at a significantly lower level than novice psychologists. The research sample consisted of 118 school psychologists employed in primary and secondary schools who, after being approached by email, completed a research battery containing the Resilience Factors Inventory (Reivich & Shatte, 2002), an adapted Emotional Flexibility Scale (Fu et al., 2017), and an abbreviated form of the Big Five Factor Inventory (Soto & John, 2017). Of the Big Five personality factors, conscientiousness and openness to experience emerged as significant predictors of school psychologists' resilience. School psychologists were also found to have a positive moderate relationship of resilience with emotional flexibility. Novice school psychologists were found to have lower levels of resilience: optimism, self-efficacy, and outreach compared to more experienced school psychologists. These factors, as well as openness, conscientiousness, and emotional flexibility, should be cultivated in undergraduate training to achieve greater resilience in school psychologists entering practice. Future work is recommended to develop and validate resilience-building practices, specifically targeting these traits and competencies to incorporate them into the undergraduate training of school psychologists.
