Descr. monografie - monographies Language Spanish Country Spain Annotation Este libro es el resultado de un proyecto de investigación enfocado en el análisis de la evolución y las mutaciones de la imagen mediática de tres personajes destacados de la cultura española en el ámbito checoslovaco a lo largo del siglo xx. Su motivación ha sido la siguiente: los dos autores están convencidos de que entender bien los mecanismos que participan en la creación de las imágenes masmediáticas en nuestros tiempos está entre las tareas más acuciantes tanto de académicos como de intelectuales en general. Y coinciden plenamente con Teun van Dijk, que ya hace veinte años advertía: «No deberíamos olvidar que la mayor parte de nuestras creencias sobre el mundo las adquirimos a través del discurso». Tras un análisis bastante amplio y profundo de la prensa checa y eslovaca del siglo xx, el libro enseña hasta qué punto el ambiente ideológico y político predominante puede influir, manipular o hasta abiertamente tergiversar la imagen de algo extranjero presentado por la prensa al público del país receptor. En el caso de este libro, ese «algo extranjero» son tres grandes personajes de la cultura española: pintor, poeta y pensador, o sea, Picasso, García Lorca y Ortega y Gasset. En decenas de ejemplos concretos —y comentados desde la perspectiva de un marco histórico-político-cultural más amplio— se muestra cómo los distintos regímenes del siglo xx trabajaban con las imágenes mediáticas para conseguir sus propósitos ideológicos. En el contexto de la democracia liberal, del régimen totalitario nazi, de la semidemocracia de posguerra, del régimen totalitario comunista y de la sociedad en búsqueda de una democracia restaurada, salida de la Revolución de Terciopelo, el lector puede seguir de cerca, p. ej., cómo Picasso renuncia a su vanguardismo artístico y se convierte en un aburrido burócrata de la maquinaria comunista; cómo García Lorca oscila entre un soñador melancólico de las pasiones andaluzas y el poeta combativo de la Revolución socialista, y cómo Ortega y Gasset deja de ser uno de los intelectuales más renombrados de la sociedad checoslovaca para convertirse en el auténtico «enemigo del Estado». Descr. príspevky v zborníku - proceedings papers Language Slovak Country Slovak Republic Annotation The objective of this article is to analyze the literary forms and techniques used by Juan José Millás in his two novels translated (for now) into Slovak: Dos mujeres en Praga and No mires debajo de la cama, in order to relate the individual development of the literary protagonists within the urban space of the metropolis Madrid. The fragmented portrait of the city reflects the fragile boundary between reality and fiction, past and present. The lack of human identity in an individualistic society is closely related to the existence of non–places defined by Marc Augé, the rapid pace of life and the destruction of traditional places in the city. In addition to analyzing the outer space of the city, we try to show that the frustration and continuous search for the identity of the protagonists is also reflected in their most intimate space – their house, full of ghosts and things that live their own reality. Descr. príspevky v zborníku - proceedings papers Language Spanish Country Slovak Republic Annotation The work we wish to present talks exactly about the city of Caracas as a fundamental imaginary of urban culture and its clearest exponents in the narrative work of José Balza. The work aims to talk about that spectrum from its inhabitants who are vast imaginaries of an accumulation of social representations and not precisely of the city as a physical space. José Balza defines his perspectives around literature, as inflections of the urban represented in “self” and another. It is a metaliterature that puts the author inside and outside the story, always in a double position, showing gestures, characters, thoughts, speech, acting in the midst of special contexts. From this perspective around the poetic and from the definition that José Balza himself brings to the handling of his narrative and fictional structures by titling them Narrative Exercises, we propose to study the fundamental signs that determine the social representations of urban culture, in particular the Caracas installed within Balzas’s literary imaginary.
