    AnnotationThe present study focuses on the analysis and evaluation of the changes in the retention volume of the water reservoir Evička, the ecosystems of littoral, sublittoral and profundal zone as well as the changes in the land cover of the riparian zone and reservoir basin. The changes in reservoir volume were determined on the basis of a comparison of the actual bottom’s topography, acquired through field surveying with the bottom’s topography from the maps for a 40-year period (1971-2011). The volume of the sediments deposited in the water reservoir Evička for given period is 10917 m3. The changes in the landscape structures of riparian zone and reservoir basin, identified on the basis of the analysis of aerial measurement pictures, orthophotomap and field survey, were evaluated for the period of 1949-2012, i.e., 63 year. It is evident from the analysis of the landscape structure changes in the whole reservoir basin that the area of developed surfaces increased by 11.2% and the surface area of water reservoir Evička decreased by 1165 m2 during that period. We interpret these facts as the result of a negative anthropogenic effect, mainly by building activity within the reservoir basin and near the water reservoir. At the same time, the contribution presents possible measures for the management of water reservoir Evička and its surroundings

    AnnotationThe article is focused on the evaluation of accumulation volume changes in 9 water reservoirs near Banská Štiavnica (Slovakia) by comparing historical maps and using modern bathymetric surveying technologies. The mining region of Banská Štiavnica has been inscribed into the UNESCO List of the World and Cultural Heritage in 1993. Accumulation and transfer of sediments depend mainly on changes of land cover in the watersheds that lead to the loss of retention capacity and reduction of life span of reservoirs. The results of a comparison of two 3D models, one created from historic documentation and the other created from data of field surveying have shown overall reduction in the volume of water totalling 446484m3, i.e. 16.70%from past to current time. Causes of sedimentation were searched in watersheds changes over time. These were identified by comparison of historical aerial imagery (1949) with existing aerial photographs

    AnnotationThis article is focused on the analysis and evaluation of the changes of the bottom of the Bakomi reservoir, the total volume of the reservoir, ecosystems, as well as changes in the riparian zone of the Bakomi reservoir (situated in the central Slovakia). Changes of the water component of the reservoir were subject to the deposition by erosion-sedimentation processes, and were identified on the basin of a comparison of the present of the bottom of reservoir obtained from measurements (in 2011) with the relief measurements of the bottom obtained from the 1971 historical maps, (i.e. over a period 40 years). Changes of landscape structures of the riparian zone have been mapped for the tome period of 1949-2013, these changes have been identified with the analysis of orthophotomaps and the field survey. There has been a significant rise of disturbed shores with low herb grassland. Over a period of 40 years, there has been a deposition of 667 cubic meter of sediments. The results showed that there were no significant changes in the local ecosystems of the Bakomi reservoir in comparison to the other reservoirs in the vicinity of Banska Štiavnica

    AnnotationThe paper concentrates on comparison of ecosystem changes in the lithoral, sublithoral zone and profundal zone as well as the riparian zone of the Belianska water reservoir. The changes in stratification and ecological zonation of the water component of the reseirvoir are conditioned by silting, the result of erosive and sedimentation processes. Changes were determined on the basis of comparison of the current bottom relief obtained by field measurement (2011) with the bottom relief of 1855, that is over a period of 156-years. The changes in riparian zone ecosystems were stated for the period from 1949 to 2013, that is a 64-years period and were identified on the basis af analysis of aerial survey photos, otrhophotomaps and field research. At the same time, the paper presents possible measures for the manegement of the Belianska water reservoir and its riparian zone

    AnnotationThe article focused on the evaluation of accumulation volume changes in Veľký Kolpašský water reservoir (near Banská Štiavnica, Slovakia) in period of 123 years (1889-2012) by comparing historical maps and using modern surveying technologies and GIS. Result showed 57.801 square meters of sediments deposited in the course of 123 years that reduced the strage capacity of the reseirvoir by 7.23%. Analysis of secondary landscape structure in watershed,slope, aspect and empirical knowlage were commited in basin areas prone to erosion, contributing to the erosion of the material. Result showed positive increase of the forest areas (+11.7%) and negative increase building-up areas (+1%) near shoreline and water area. In consequence been proposed management at water management, forestry, agryculture and population level, building-up and other factors

    AnnotationPráca využívajúc diachrónne analýzy reliéfu VN Evička poukazuje na zmeny jej ekosystémov. Zmeny reliéfu dna sú podmienené erózno-akumulačnými procesmi v blízkosti VN a v pristore vodnej nádrže. VN Evička je súčasťou Zoznamu technických pamiatok UNESCO a je nutné chápať ju ako komplex ekosystémov, ktoré obsahujú na malom priestore relatívne uzatvorené spoločenstvo organizmov. Monitoring a správny manažment VN má širšie dôvody, a to krajinárske, technicko-historické a krajino-ekologické.
