The paper gives information about the outcomes of a pedagogical research carried out among the students of one class of the Initial Professional Training and of one class of Upper Secondary Vocational Education from the Police Colleges within the Czech Republic. The aim of the research was to find out the level of media literacy at newly enrolled police officers as well as the media literacy that had been gained by other police officers within their lifelong professional education.
