    AnnotationThe aim of this investigation was to find out the level of knowledge and to verify degree of adoption biological notions in the part of subjecting ensemble Human Biology by students of grammar school. The sample of investigation was contained of 114 students attending 4 th form of grammar schools in Banská bystrica and Bratislava. The gauge of investigation was didactic test. Results were rated by the quantitative and qualitative analyse. Total succes of didactic test was 63.9% for group A and 55.7% for group B. On the base of results I can note, that some of biological notions regarding questions of muscle and digestion, students adopt insufficiently. They are not able to explain the essence of internal and external respiration, to divide imunitative reactions in organism, to write importance of liver and spleen and to say one example of arise antibody anti-Rh. Results are according to results of Ušáková (2000) and they refer to fact, that insufficient adoption of some notions in connected also with antiqated content of to date valide textbooks
