Irán Form. Descr. abstrakty - abstracts Language English Country Ukraine Annotation The process of globalization forces us to examine and explore culture(s) of other nations. A clash with otherness is a part of today’s world, and this phenomenon causes fear and prejudices that arise from subdued interpretations. At present, we can see resistance, especially against Muslims and Islam, which according to Edward W. Said have become a “symbol of terror and devastation” and for Europe “lasting trauma”. Different factors, such as personal experience or mediated information through mass media, literary works and films, as well as values, religion, attitudes, and many others that arise from one’s own culture, influence the perception of the otherness. The submitted research is based on a corpus made up of a set of novels dealing with the topic of life in a Muslim country, particularly Iran. This set consists of the unintentional tetralogy of novels by three authors, Betty Mahmoody, the author of the novels Not without my daughter (1987) and For the love of a child (1992), her daughter Mahtob, the author of a novel My name is Mahtob (2013), and Moody, Mahmoody’s ex-husband and Mahtob’s father, the author of Lost without my Daughter (2013). This mixed trio controversially responds to the clash of two different cultures that have affected their lives. Iran is considered to be a part of the Orient, which is considered the world of text through books and manuscripts. The examined literary texts were originally written in English and translated into Slovak language, thus the Slovak readers became the target readers. Novels and their translations also contribute to the clarification and understanding of cultural differences. Some authors attempt an objective interpretation of reality and represent the otherness of culture without evaluative statements. Descr. príspevky v zborníku - proceedings papers Language English Country Portugal Annotation Developing of current cultural and social issues in education is the main goal of the Erasmus + project called Development of a Collaborative Space for French as a Foreign Language: Literature, Migration, Exile and Learning project(DECLAME ́FLE). Based ona common international platform consisting of three universities (Université de Rennes 2, Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan), we work to integrate social topics such as migration and exile into teaching French as a foreign language. It is processed through literary texts, into the training of future teachers and translators of French, to increase their linguistic and intercultural competence. The basis of work with students is primarily a literary, linguistic, and intercultural analysis of the corpus of selected literary works by French-speaking authors of non-French-speaking origin, who develop the theme of migration and exile in their works. In this paper, we focus on the socio-cultural level of the connection between literature, migration, and identity, from the perspective of the main character Martin in the selected literary work of Andrea Salajova -Eastern. Descr. články - journal articles Language English Country Slovak Republic Annotation Based on their experience, the authors analyze the above-described trend, define possible legal and social restrictions, and outline possible solutions while respecting the nature of the special purpose civic association. The paper is unique as it is the only paper which offers an insight into a conservative and (still) inaccessible (for non-members) environment of internal communication of trade unions (communication with members and potential members) based on the objective interdisciplinary research combining legal science and marketing communication. The objective of the paper is not to present an exhaustive overview of the issue, but to present new possibilities for the research in areas (where marketing plays an important role) that have so far gone unnoticed by marketing communication researchers.
