    AnnotationUmelá inteligencia je súčasťou rozvoja digitálnej spoločnosti už dlho, no jej výrazný rozmach pozorujeme až v posledných rokoch. Možnosti využitia umelej inteligencie v podnikoch, ale aj iných organizáciách sú v podstate neobmedzené, hoci niektoré oblasti sú pre ne vhodné viac, iné menej. Implementácia umelej inteligencie do podnikovej praxe má viacnásobné využitie vo vzťahu k jeho internému prostrediu, ako napríklad úspory času a nákladov, prevádzka systémov, náročnosť práce, ale aj externému v podobe interakcie so všetkými zainteresovanými subjektami. Implementácia umelej inteligencie do riadenia ľudských zdrojov je možná prakticky vo všetkých procesoch od analýzy pracovných miest, cez získavanie zamestnancov až po ich hodnotenie, vzdelávanie a odmeňovanie. Všetky potenciálne príležitosti a hrozby vytvárajú priestor pre rozsiahly vedecký výskum tak v podobe analýzy potrieb, nárokov, ale aj ekonomických a sociálnych dôsledkov. Cieľom príspevku je preskúmať príležitosti a hrozby, ktoré vyplývajú z využívania umelej inteligencie v riadení ľudských zdrojov, využitím prípadov dobrej praxe v zahraničí v podnikoch, ktoré už umelú inteligenciu v riadení ľudských zdrojov využívajú.

    AnnotationThe separation of owners, entrepreneurs, managers and employees is not only a formal process, but also manifests itself in the interests and goals of them. Owners are interested in valuing investment capital, paying dividends and growing the value of capital. The goal of managers is to grow the size of the company, prestige and social recognition, as well as the opportunity to realize their intentions and ideas. The manager in a company is a person responsible for a specific organizational unit or otherwise defined area (project, area, team). The role of the manager is to manage, ie plan, lead, organize, make decisions and control people, processes and other resources in the delegated responsibility in the company. Managers differ from other employees in their specific knowledge and ability to perform managerial functions. In addition to knowledge, every manager must have certain qualities and abilities (innate or acquired). The manager for the performance of managerial functions should be equipped with qualities that create the preconditions for achieving quality work. The manager must be a personality who lives by management. It's not even someone who suddenly decides to be a manager. In any case, people have to rely on him. Responsibility, honesty and a fearless character add a sense of security and that the company is in good hands. This is how his subordinates will behave naturally, it does not have to be dictated. On the other hand, nothing is played on, it is usually itself, and it should look at each situation with eyes that are just right to use. The aim of the textbook "Organization of managerial work" is to help the future managers, to perceive the nature of managerial work, its complexity, elements and possibilities of its continuous improvement. From a conceptual point of view, the textbook deliberately combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, case studies, tasks and questions for discussion and solution. The latest trends in the work of successful managers and examples of good practice from the distant past have been reflected in the content of individual chapters.

    AnnotationMotivation is considered one of the most important prerequisites for the success and effectiveness of the resulting performances. Usually, we meet only with a perspective of employee motivation from inside the company. However, the external environment, i.e. macro-environment, also influences the motivation of employees. We decided to focus on exploring how macroeconomic indicators evolution affects employee motivation. By means of the research conducted in Slovakia during the period from 2008 to 2019 on a sample of more than 30,000 respondents, we define the dependence of selected macroeconomic indicators and employee motivation. The research focuses on the analysis of average annual wage and household debt influence on the most important employees’ motivational factors. Based on our findings, we can state that macroeconomic indicators affect the importance of motivational factors in Slovakia. Especially, the average annual wage strongly influences the six motivational factors (communication at the workplace, duties and type of work, working hours, working environment, superior approach, psychological burden). The results of the research also show that the seven motivational factors (atmosphere at the workplace, good team, communication at the workplace, working hours, working environment, superior approach, psychological burden) strongly depend on the macroeconomic indicator of household debt. Therefore, when creating incentive programs, business managers in Slovakia should take into account not only the effects of the company’s microenvironment on motivation but also the effects of the macro-environment and thus macroeconomic changes in the state. The role of a manager is to keep balance between external environment influence on employee motivation and internal actions. The paper presents inspiring ideas in a field of employee motivation and the influence of external environment on motivation.

    AnnotationEnterprise is a place where an activity contributing to the success of a business is held. When an enterprise wants to succeed, achieve goals and to develop, employees must be in the centre of its attention. According to current trends, human resources are considered the most important of all the assets the organization possesses. Employee motivation can lead to high employee performance, effectiveness, quality, subsequent organisation success, and development. The research aimed at defining the differences in perceiving the level of motivation in terms of selected socio-demographic features was conducted in the Slovak enterprises over the course of the years 2015 - 2018. Following the achieved results, when creating the motivation programmes not only the gender but also the education completed by the employees must be taken into account by the senior managers
