In order to be able to use water power in the final technical facilities, water works had to be built for this purpose to ensure that the water was collected in the country. The aim of the present study is the reconstruction of the use of water and the reconstruction of water management systems in the historic mining landscape on the example of water management system of Ľubietová surroundings, whose effectiveness was also determined by the existence of so-called Little Ice Age. So far unknown facts, phenomena and contexts that contributed to formation of the water management system in the mountainous country have also been gained through field research Public work category ADN No. of Archival Copy 47104 Catal.org. Vyhne Form. Descr. články - journal articles Language English Country Slovak Republic Annotation Despite the fact that computer technologies, digitization, and social networks are used and preferred almost in all spheres of life, information boards installed as part of educational trails have an irreplaceable role in tourism. The aim of the presented study is to point out the importance of information boards in mining tourism. The first part of the study analyses the theoretical and methodological aspects and procedures of notice boards, their content classification and suitable use in situ. Methodologically correctly constructed illustrated notice boards are a suitable and often irreplaceable visual tool of old mining sites or mining trails. The second part of the article is dedicated to a case study of preparing, making and promoting the installation of illustrated notice boards using the example of the mining educational trail in Vyhne (Central Slovakia) which was open in 2016 under the name "In the Footsteps of Mining Activities". The stationary boards installed along the trail serve their function and are actively used in mining tourism. The third part of the study analyzes the instructions for creating external notice boards from the perspective of the recommended limits (time intervals) needed for the identification of directions and for reading and understanding pictograms, illustration and texts. The aim of the questionnaire survey carried out on a group of respondents was to verify the previously published and recommended rules for compiling the content and range of the information published on boards or to modify them according to the specific conditions defined by a particular topic and area. The research results show that the text must be well-arranged and brief, graphically interesting containing appropriate topics. Descr. články - journal articles Language English Country Slovak Republic systematics 55 Annotation The paper comprehensively analyses the montane concept of pinge(ping). It points to the origin of the word pingeand its primary meaning in historical -medieval mining. The mainpart of the paper is concerned with the evaluationof the conceptual terminological inaccuracy of the word pingeand analyses the individual historical montane shapes in detail. These shapes are often terminologically interchanged with pingenand also inaccurately considered pingen. These are surface concave montane shapes of relief in general, i.e.,verhau, shurf, sinks, depressions, etc. These shapes have fundamentally different morphological and morphometrical properties and parameters, considering the differentgenesis of their origin. Nevertheless, these basic properties, which are not interchangeable were not consideredin differentscientific disciplines and were regardedas pingen. This part of the paper also evaluates the basicproperties of pingenbased on their relation to the relief and landscape, which must be studiedfromanthropogenic geomorphology and mining engineering. Final part of this paper offers the results of the research based on the analysis of medieval and modern archive sources, theoldest montane papers, the latest scientific studies and field research, which unequivocally establish the meaning of pingein mining engineering (montane anthropogenic geomorphology), which is acceptable for all scientific disciplines concerned with this unique shape. Apart of the final discussion is the exact definition of the term pingeand its meticulousdelimitation Public work category ADN No. of Archival Copy 44970 Repercussion category HVIZDAK, Ladislav - TOMETZOVA, Dana - IANNACCONE, Barbora - SOLTESOVA, Marieta - DOMARACKA, Lucia - KYSELA, Kamil.
