The Atlas.ti tool was used as an example of analyses of digitised textual, numerical, audio and visual data for subsequent coding in programmes (CAQDAS). The authors focus on coding and the creation of coding sheets. Through the examples from research conducted in the Northern Malohont region, they present the possibilities and limits of the use of coding in computer interfaces. The links between ethnographic findings and field localisation are presented through the application of geographical information systems (GIS). Cultural configurations and diffusions are illustrated at precise geographic locations of the region being explored. Situácia sa prejavuje ako pomerne kritická aj v dôsledku zna ne nepriaznivých morfometrických ukazovate ov reliéfu a je v zna nej miere kontrolovaná nedostatkom humóznej asti pôdy o nachádza odraz v horšej schopnosti introdukcie rastlinných spolo enstiev, ktoré by boli schopné spevni svahy odvalov a tak zníži riziko šírenia kontaminantov povrchovým odtokom. Riziko šírenia polutantov z banských depónií je pre sídelnú štruktúru v ubietovej relatívne vysoké. Erózna aktivita ohrozuje aj obytnú zónu a pri ahlé záhradky a sady, v ktorých miestne obyvate stvo pestuje rôzne plodiny pre priamy konzum. Riziko erózie na lokalite Podlipa a s tým súvisiaca možnos masívneho znosu materiálu odvalov do údolia Zelenej doliny a odtia alej do reten nej nádrže, situovanej na terase nad obcou ubietová, nabáda z zvýšenej opatrnosti a realizácii sana ných opatrení. Zanedbanie preventívnych krokov na ochranu krajiny v tomto regióne môže vies k deštrukcii, k akej došlo napríklad po prívalových daž och v roku 2010, ke bola dolná as údolia Zelenej doliny erodovaná až po skalný podklad a strž, vyh bená v technogénnych sedimentoch, dosahovala h bku 2 m Public work category AFD No. of Archival Copy 41049 Catal.org. Geomorphological analysis of river terraces, thickness of Quaternary sediments, density of landslides and gullies, morpholineaments and faults was carried out using the Geographical Information Systems (GIS). The aim of the analysis was to understand the role of the neotectonics. The river terraces on the right bank of the River Hron are higher than those on the left bank showing the irregular neotectonic evolution of the area. The difference in height of the terraces on the left bank and right bank varies from 11 to 25 meters near Žiar nad Hronom and from 20 to 23 meters near Dolná Ždaňa. The interpolation of the Quaternary cover thickness shows three regions with a relatively thick quaternary cover, two of them in contact with the adjacent mountains and one along the alluvium of the Hron. The density of gullies on the right bank of the Hron is high. The density of landslides is biggest on the western margin of the basin. Analysis of the river terraces suggests that the Žiarska kotlina basin has not uniformly subsided, and the neotectonic activity is different in its individual parts. It is necessary study the terraine inclination and bending, surface water runoff, potential and actual erosion because these characteristics have terminative influence on water percolation through the dump-field technogenous sediments and heavy metal contamination spreding. Modeling of these indicators enable state the risk of the country contamination as well as find the best solutions for the country remediation.
