The introductory chapter highlights the significance of civil protection education, outlining its specific characteristics and emphasizing the necessity of innovative approaches in this domain. The next sections examine the evolution, current state, and future prospects of virtual reality, tracing its early development, contemporary applications, and anticipated trends that could significantly influence its advancement. Further chapters underscore the role of modern technologies in civil protection training, particularly the integration of VR with cybersecurity. Special attention is given to the practical application of VR as a tool for crisis management training and risk prevention. A detailed analysis is provided on the state of virtual reality implementation in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland, mapping ongoing projects, current application, and companies specializing in VR solutions for crisis management, while also considering the role of higher education institutions in this field. The publication includes a comprehensive SWOT analysis assessing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with VR adoption in the examined countries. The concluding chapters focus on the development and future perspectives of modern technologies in civil protection education, emphasizing their practical application across the three V4 countries. The work offers a thorough analysis of the current state and future potential of virtual reality in civil protection education and crisis management.
