It captures the figure of the angel in a broader cultural context, as well as in the material of Slovak phrasemes, it notices the categories associated with the image of this figure, especially the appearance of the angel and its characteristics. It also deals with the issues of the angel's activity and its interaction with people. The paper also focuses on the contrast of the figures of the angel and the devil in Slovak language and culture.
