The „real face“ of europeanization and democratization processes. The story of democracy in the Slovak Republic = Skutočná tvár europeizácie a demokratizačných procesov. Príbeh demokracie Slovenskej republiky / Marek Lenč. -- The main aim of the article is to analyze the most crucial historic aspects and actions in the terms of the evolution of the democracy in the Slovak republic. As an introduction to the topic author is presenting the main pillars inevitable for development of a democratic society and is positioning Slovakia in broader geopolitical, social and economic context of Central Europe. The author develops his analyzes of Slovakia´s difficult path to democracy based on the real actions of Vladimír Mečiar´s cabinets during the 90´s and presents the main challenges as well as lessons learned for the Slovak democracy nowadays
