Predmet pozornosti – historicky najstarší, štruktúrne premenlivý, typologicky viacrozmerný a používateľsky neustále najpraktickejší, najpohodlnejší spôsob komunikovania medzi ľuďmi a spoločenstvami akéhokoľvek typu, zloženia a početnosti – totiž úspešne plní svoje poverenia a poslanie so značným stupňom univerzálnosti. Ambíciou publikácie je pars pro toto poukázať v širších, medzinárodných a interjazykových súvislostiach na špecifické, domáce zdroje, prejavy a vývinové osobitosti časti výskumov hovorenej komunikácie, a tak účinne reflektovať a interpretovať podnety, význam a perspektívy vedeckých diskusií vo vymedzenej problematike za posledné štvrťstoročie. Nezanedbateľnou súčasťou výberu sa stáva predstavenie východísk, ustaľovania, premien a overovania nosnej terminológie v okruhu časti hovorenej komunikácie a vo vzťahu k súvisiacim, priechodným, či novým teoretickým podnetom a metodologickým možnostiam jazykovedného, ale aj interdisciplinárneho rangu, najmä v sociolingvistickom vymedzení. Pragmatický, t. j. porovnávací a aplikačný rozmer ťažiskovej problematiky zabezpečujú ukážky autentických komunikátov. Odrážajú vzťah k ústnej forme dorozumievania vrátane podmienok a predpokladov na jej „vrastanie“ do písomnej (tlačenej) formy dorozumievania a do stále viac sa rozpínajúceho priestoru elektronickej komunikácie, ktorá sa dnes už úspešne viaže na vizuálne interakcie. The scientific study of direct and spontaneous communication that is done through a live, open parole has been the merit of interest not only in the field of linguistics, but also in a wider interdisciplinary scientific environment for more than the last two-three decades. The focus of our attention – historically the oldest, structurally variable, typologically multidimensional and at the same time user-friendly, the most practical and convenient way of communicating between people and communities of any type, composition and amount – still successfully fulfils its mandates and missions with a considerable degree of versatility. The ambition of this publication is to present pars pro toto specific domestic sources and developmental specificities of the research of spoken communication in its broader international as well as inter-lingual relations, and through this to effectively reflect and interpret challenges and perspectives of the scientific disputes related to these specific issues over the last quarter of a century. An important part of the selection in this publication is the introduction of origins, validity, transformations and verifications of the terminology that are related to the field of spoken communication as well as to the related, intersectional or new theoretical challenges and methodological opportunities concerning the linguistic and inter-disciplinary fields from the point of view of socio-linguistics. Pragmatic, i.e. comparative and applicative dimensions of these key concepts, are represented by the demonstrations of authentic communications. They reflect their relationship to the oral form of communication, including the conditions and assumptions for its “ingrowth“ into written (printed) form of communication as well as rapidly expanding electronic communication, which is nowadays successfully bound to visual interactions
