The writer frequently uses reverses roles, especially in the way of portraying children as adults, who bear a certain degree of responsibility for their lives and the lives of their loved ones in their sur-roundings. It is no different in the novel Man out of Pit, Children out of Love, in which the character of the father is portrayed as an antihero, a weirdo who during the day does nothing but sits in a deep couch pit, from which he plays video games. However, the character of a father trapped in a couch pit is also used as a metaphor for the lone-liness that the whole family falls into after the tragic death of the mother.
