Sariyev, Nail Manaf Oglu, 1995- Hidden champions vs international corporations: differences and unifying features / Nail Sariyev, Janka Táborecká-Petrovičová. -- Even though the phenomenon of hidden champions originated more than 30 years ago, it is very difficult to understand and find the boundaries of the differences between them and international corporations as both categories of enterprises are world leaders. Hidden champions work in niche markets without swaying at a competition with giants, resource bases of corporations are far superior to champions’, goals set for both categories of organizations differ in certain ways, etc. In order to better understand the differences, it is necessary to clarify some provisions relating to the concept of “hidden champions” on one hand and to “international corporations” on another. The purpose of this paper is to briefly review both types of enterprises and develop recommendations on which the differences between hidden champions and international corporations will be more clearly visible (no claim, however, to complete solution in the framework of this paper).
