A Hlinka-féle Szlovák Néppárt magyarországi kapcsolatainak alakulása = The dynamics of Hlinka's Slovak people's party's relations to Hungary = Vývoj vzťahov Hlinkovej slovenskej ľudovej strany k Maďarsku / Anton Hruboň. -- Hlinka's Slovak People's Party was one of the most influential Slovak political parties of the first half of the 20th Century. From its beginnings until the official ban (1905-1945), it won democratic parliamentary elections in Slovakia three times (1925, 1929, 1935) and was the only permitted Slovak political party in the fascist-Axis Slovak State (1939-1945), a vassal state of Hitler's Germany. Party's relevance predestined it to comment and participate in the key political events of the 1920s-1940s period and, thanks to the party's authority, to actively influence them. Slovakia's relationship with its southern neighbour, heavily marked by the shadows of the past, belonged to this spectrum as well. The article provides an overview of the turbulent dynamics of the Hlinka's Slovak People's Party's relation to Hungary and Hungarian politics, identifies the trajectory, and the core milestones of Slovak-Hungarian relations impacted by the party led by Catholic priests Andrej Hlinka and Jozef Tiso.
