From methodology to interpretation : od metodológie k interpretácii / Hana Odokienko Fodorová. -- The conference paper "Realization of color symbolism in Ján Smrek´s debut of Odsúdený k večitej žízni. From methodology to interpretation" is focussed on realization of color symbolism in selected collections of Slovak poems from interwar period. It represents a methodological-interpretative sample from semifinished dissertation, primary goal of which is to specify – by methodological tools, analysis and interpretation – the aesthetic chromatic idiolect of selected authors. In the paper we will present the methodological concept of work with color symbolism in literature, together with the method of analysing and interpreting the realizations of color symbols in the text. The paper presents the results obtained by applying our own methodological model developed for a specific text – Ján Smrek´s debut – and is offered for wider discussion.
