Faktory ovplyvňujúce vznik lesného požiaru = Factors affecting initiation of forest fire / Vladimír Benedik, Iveta Marková. -- The article discusses initiation of forest fire. It focuses on particular factors, which influence the combustion and the fire. Initiators were divided according to their origin to non-anthropogenic and anthropogenic. Factors which, in our opinion mostly influence the process of combustion were identified, although according to accessible literature, much research work is not concerned with them. Laboratory measurements are performed in specific conditions, but realistic environment in actual landscape is usually not stable and to a great extent influenced by the forest and fire. Our ambition is to stimulate the development of new methodologies, which would assess the disposition of individual types of forest floor for fire initiation
