    $a © Wydawnictwo Adam Marszałek Toruń 2016.The aim of our research was to confirm or reject the assumption that the intervention programme "E" Empathy Development Programme had a positive effect on changes in the cognitive and emotional component of empathy in the experimental group of students, future teachers. IRI Interpersonal Reactivity Index (Davis, 1996) was used as the measuring tool. Data analysis of results showed differences in terms of desirable significant changes at the level of all IRI variables between the experimental group participating in experiential intervention and the group not participating in any intervention programme during testing.
