Dimenzie ekologickej komplexity a hodnotenie jej funkčnej zložky = Dimensions of ecological complexity and evaluation of its functional component / Peter Sabo. -- The contribution summarizes some basic notions of ecological complexity theory, as a foundation for the concept of ecological integrity, a new tool for evaluation of ecosystem, landscape and biosphere ecological health. We deal with theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of ecological complexity and we analyse several indicators suitable for quantification of its functional, vertical dimension. This important pillar of ecosystem´s and landscape´s complexity can be effectively indicated by means of quantification of variables connected with solar energy dissipation and with change of temperature of the ecosystem surface. Then ecological integrity can be specified as an inversion of its ecological distance to ecocomplexity of the referential (authentic) natural ecosystems and landscapes
