Although so far there has been accomplished a bunch of research studies on the topic of teachers' workload, a lot of them were done via questionnaires. They gave teachers' estimates of time spent at work and about the scope of their professional activities. To avoid any misinterpretations, our research was carried out via repeated in-depth studies - ‘professiographies’. This method was chosen because professiography engages in systematically gathering, describing, analysing and evaluating professional activities with reference to personal and professional requirements for their performance. As the analysis of the theoretical and research studies shows, it is evident that Service Learning and Global Education overlap in their learning outcomes and they both possess potential to contribute to the university internationalisation. The question is what the aims of internationalisation are in Slovak context (at the micro university level) and if they include greater understanding of a local context and diversity, as the courses are predominantly offered in English and via other foreign languages (depending on the current human resources situation) at the University.
