    AnotáciaBusinesses in today's turbulent environment face the need to make ongoing changes resulting from both the business environment dictated by competition, but also from the needs arising from the internal environment of the business. Changes are becoming a daily reality that managers are confronted with every day. The paper focuses on identifying employees' attitudes towards to changes, their behavior, and also compares and describes various concepts aimed at eliminating their resistance behavior. The aim of this paper is based on a comparison of several expert publications, compile a theoretical and empirical framework of concepts that enable managers to investigate the resistance behavior of employees and to choose appropriate strategies to overcome resistance to changes related to the implementation of organizational innovations.

    AnotáciaBecause companies work as a whole and all activities are interconnected, the paper focuses on identifying the most important factors that influence the process of managing the implementation of organizational innovations („OI“). The aim of the paper is to propose a model serving as a support tool for business managers in a complex process of managing the implementation and long-term sustainability of organizational innovations. The model points to the need to coordinate the activities of several business areas, which, in our view, are indispensable for successful management of this process, while stressing the importance of the work of managers. One of its benefits is that it is applicable to different types of subjects. The paper is based not only on the results of research carried out on a sample of 141 Slovak medium and large production companies, but also on professional domestic and foreign literature and a number of studies conducted directly in the business environment

    Anotácia© 2018, Serbian Journal of Management. This paper focuses on the topic of relationship between flexibility of supply chain and information sharing among partners with emphasis on their managerial practices. Since nowadays competition increases, enterprises give more importance to their supply chain management. Our paper provides a complex look on the issues of flexibility and information sharing in Slovak automotive industry and their interdependences. The main aim of this study is to identify relationships between shared information and flexible parameters of supply chains in automotive industry. Achieved results provide a current image of how supply chain management is handled in Slovakia's most significant industry. Our findings indicate that there is a significant dependence between types of information shared and different flexibility types.

    AnotáciaWith the implementation of software support for business process automation binds a number of changes which are necessary for effective management. Since the company's ability to handle the management of these changes affects success, respectively failure in the business of environment, this paper focuses on the definition of these changes in terms of economics and process approach, the specification of structural changes and changes in the allocation of human resources and it is also a part of the general process steps for serving enterprises better manage these changes control. When making generalizations and conclusions, we used data of questionnaire survey conducted on a sample of 102 Slovak medium-sized enterprises operating in industrial production, as well as opinions of specialists in information technology (IT) and process management.

    AnotáciaThe paper focuses on examining the intensity of impact of selected organizational innovations on the work of managers at all levels of management. Since managerial work involves a wide range of activities, the article deals in details with managerial functions, with reference to the positive effects resulting from organizational innovations. It presents the results of empirical research aimed at identifying what types of organizational innovations cause particular changes in the performance of managerial functions at the individual levels of management and the determination of their intensity. The research object is medium and large manufacturing companies operating in the territory of the Slovak Republic. The research subject are organizational innovations, the realization of which is connected to a number of changes in the individual managerial functions that are identifi ed in the conditions of the selected set of enterprises. These results bring new view to existing fi ndings that can help business managers manage strategic decision-making in the process of implementing organizational innovations

    AnotáciaThe purpose of this study is to point out the extent to which enterprises want to exploit the possibilities of information technologies (IT), system integration of information systems (IS) and business process automation with the aim to increase the intelligent work with information. The goal of the study is to assess what kind of barriers constrains to utilize maximum of their possibilities in the processes of awareness about competitive environment. Completing the questionnaire, 189 managers of Slovak SMEs reported the rate of utilization of information technologies and evaluated the types of barriers to widespread use of these systems in all stages of work with information. Using the method of regression analysis we will examine the validity of our own hypotheses aimed at assessing the causes and barriers which prevent better utilization of working methods with information and its sharing. As the basis for the summary of the conclusions we will use the results of our research in the years 2015-2016 as well as findings from other surveys in this area. The possible causes of barriers to use IT were also discussed with the 26 respondents – representatives of IT companies and suppliers of solutions for business process automation and system integration of IS (via on-line interview). The evaluation of the practical experience, findings, knowledge of managers and IT companies should allow us better assess and predict the occurrence of obstacles, which lead to the decline or loss of competitiveness, as a result of unrealized knowledge

    AnotáciaThe purpose of this study is to point out the extent to which enterprises want to exploit the possibilities of information technologies (IT), system integration of information systems (IS) and business process automation with the aim to increase the intelligent work with information. The goal of the study is to assess what kind of barriers constrains to utilize maximum of their possibilities in the processes of awareness about competitive environment. The evaluation of the practical experience, findings, knowledge of 189 managers of Slovak SMEs and 26 managers of IT companies should allow us better assess and predict the occurrence of obstacles, which lead to the decline or loss of competitiveness, as a result of unrealized knowledge
