Using correlations analysis, also called Spearmanʾs ρ, we try to answer research questions linked to authentic statements including linguistic features of other languages. This method which consists of looking for a correlation coefficient between two variables, is the most suitable for evaluating the closed questions of the questionnary-test. Le phénomène de mise en contact de systèmes linguistiques différents est désigné par la notion d’interférence linguistique et a fait l’objet de nombreuses recherches concernant les langues proches. Qu’en est-il des langues non apparentées et éloignées géographiquement ? Cet ouvrage se penche sur le cas de l’apprentissage du slovaque par des francophones natifs à partir d’une étude de terrain. Il est centré sur le système verbal, élément le plus stable de la langue, et à ce titre le plus révélateur des phénomènes liés à l’interférence linguistique. The pre-research was realised by means of a survey conducted from 04/08/2015 to 03/11/2015. The survey involved questions of sociolinguistic character but also exercises testing grammar of 63 respondents of levels A1, A2, B1 and B2 in Slovak language. The influence of French language on Slovak syntactic constructions was observed particularly in verbal system of Slovak language. That is also why we introduced the term of verbal interference. A negative transfer from French verbal system is found in Slovak sentences produced by Francophone learners.
